I'd been recording the album forever. I had more than enough for an LP and was kinda "done." But then, I got the urge to dig deep and write the biggest, most ambitious thing I could conjure form my brain. The result was this 8-plus minute opus.Recorded over 6 weeks in Boston and LA. Inspired by "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant," "A Quick One While He's Away," "Paradise By The Dashboard Light," "Band on the Run," "Sneaking Sally Through the Alley,""Jesus of Suburbia," and Matthew Sweet's "Thunderstorm." Lyrically, I had the idea of all the characters from all these other sprawling songs met up for one last caper, like that "Ocean 11's" movie: Brenda and Eddie, Sally, Herman (even though it's "Her Man" in the Who song) and Jesus himself!
