about

Multiple time signatures! Hugely influenced by "Southtown Girls" by The Hold Steady. Love how they could do a rock song that's not in 4/4, yet it didn't sound complicated or prog-y. 6/4 verses lead to a big sing-along chorus with stacked Eagles-style harmonies. A song about the socializing in suburbia, as a young married adult. There's this desire to grow up and be civil, but trouble lurks. SAMPLE LYRIC: Those neighbors drank that thing, mixed with that other thing.
