about

Even though I don't have a giant voice like Axl or Chris Cornell, I wanted to write a riff-based (though melodic) rawk song a'la Guns or Soundgarden. The stacked "whoa" vocals in this chorus (and others throughout the album) is very inspired by "Satellite" by Catherine Wheel off Adam and Eve -- one of my favorite all-time albums (particularly production-wise). Lyrically, I had this Bonnie and Clyde, lovers-on-the-run idea in my head. They've reached the end of line, they're busted, the good guys have our anti-heroes cornered. "Come on out with your hands up" as if through a megaphone from the sheriff.
